Christmount
Week is an annual event which brings some of the best lecturers and preachers
for a week of deeper exploration of faith and meaningful worship.
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings, there will be worship. Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday (morning and night) will feature longer lectures.
Wednesday night, there will be time for talent sharing after evening vespers.
The event begins with supper at 6:00 on Monday evening.
Each day, in addition to these lectures and worship services will be free time
for exploring western NC and relaxing at Christmount, as well as special events
each evening.

Stephanie
Paulsell joined the faculty of Harvard Divinity School in 2001 as Lecturer on
Ministry and was associate dean for ministry studies from 2003 to 2005, then she
was appointed Houghton Professor of the Practice of Ministry Studies. For the
2007-08 academic year, she is also associate dean for faculty and curricular
affairs. Before coming to Harvard, she served as director of ministry studies
and Senior Lecturer in Religion and Literature at the University of Chicago
Divinity School. She is the author of Honoring the Body: Meditations on a
Christian Practice and co-editor of The Scope of Our Art: The Vocation of
the Theological Teacher. Stephanie earned the BA from Greensboro College and
MA and PhD from the University of Chicago. She is an ordained minister in the
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Kay
Northcutt is Assistant Professor of Preaching and Worship at Phillips
Theological Seminary, where her primary teaching interests are in homiletics and
worship. She is an accomplished pianist and much sought-after preacher and
retreat leader. A recipient of three Associated Church Press writing awards, she
has published Praying by Heart: Prayers for Personal Devotion and Public
Worship and a number of articles including, among others, "August in Her
Breast: Prayer as Embodiment," in Setting the Table: Women in Theological
Conversation, "If You Seek Abundant Life Embrace Death," Disciple,
"The Best Way to Pray is to Stop," Disciple (May 1997), and "Ahoy! A Holy
Glimpse," Criterion (Autumn 1992). She received her BM from Northwestern
University, MM from the University of Oklahoma, M.Div. from the University of
Chicago Divinity School, and D. Min. from the Aquinas Institute. Kay is an
ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
