Richard Lumpkin has served as Minister of Music at Cherry Log Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for the past ten years.It was his honor to serve with Dr. Fred Craddock the founding Minister of Cherry Log. He is the son of a Methodist minister and has spent 30 years serving as a music director in a number of churches in the southeast. Richard’s formal education was from Kennesaw State College where he was the first person to receive a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal performance. Following his time in school he performed extensively in Europe and throughout the southeastern United States appearing with The Atlanta Boy Choir, Friends of Opera, Capital City Opera, and The Atlanta Chamber Opera Society. Richard’s first love however, is church music and he has served Methodist, Episcopal, and Christian (Disciples of Christ) congregations in Georgia and Florida.

Pattie Williams
Associate Handbell Director, Cherry Log Christian Church

Pattie Williams, newly relocated to the N GA mountains, has had a long and varied handbell directing and teaching career in FL.  She is a life-long piano and voice teacher, focusing on developing church musicians,   Handbells has been her medium of choice for 20 years where she has enjoyed sharing the love of ringing with folks aged 3 to 93, from solo to mass ringing.  She has directed children's and adult vocal and handbell choirs primarily in DOC and Presbyterian Churches and community choruses, and spent 2 years ringing in, then 7 years directing Gulf Coast Community Handbell Choir. 
She is currently associate handbell director at Cherry Log Christian Church, directing ensembles, teaching solo ringing and directing a children's handbell summer camp
 


Lodging and Meals
Lodging will be in the Guest Houses and Pogue RV Park. Each Guest House room has 2 Queen beds and private bath. Linens are provided. The RV Park has water, sewer and electrical hookups.

Meals available in the Guest House dining hall include: Thursday dinner; Friday breakfast, lunch and dinner; Saturday breakfast and lunch; and Sunday breakfast and lunch.  Meals will be served buffet-style in the Guest House dining hall.
